Heart of Carolina competed at the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Chorus Competition in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 6, singing two songs from the musical Pippin, arranged by director Bill Adams and directors' team member Larry Triplett. We are very proud that we received our highest scores ever, breaking the 80% threshold for the first time. We are going to take a break for the rest of July, and will then begin preparing for our holiday show. |
Heart of Carolina is moving to a new home for rehearsals - Croasdaile Village in Durham, where we will be rehearsing in the auditorium on Thursday evenings. Croasdaile residents are welcome to visit rehearsals, and we wil be performing occasionally for the residents. If you would like to visit a rehearsal, please contact us first. Croasdaile will require some sort of chorus identification for entry, and the facility also has rules regarding parking locations. |
On November 12-13, Heart of Carolina joined the Carolinas District for our first in-person festival/competition in two years. How wonderful it was to sing for a live audience again (even if we wore our masks). Our chorus swept most of the awards over the weekend:
